The PC Pay System could be used to hold a patient's medical and insurance information in a safe and convenient place. The MediCard could hold information, including medical history, allergic reactions, and other useful data. The card would be encoded with a password that only the holder and a certified hospital Emergency room would have. The Emergency Room doctor could use his/her special encoded smart card with his/her password that could open any emergency medical card and download the appropriate vital medical information such as prior medical history information (e.g. asthema, high blood pressure, etc.), as well as update the information.
