The PC Pay module could also retrieve data on past x-rays from the MediCard. A thumbnail of the xray would appear on the card along with information needed to retrieve the film from another hospital. Due to the size of high-resolution graphics and the limits of the current smart-card, an entire x-ray would not fit on a single card, however the information contained on the card could be used to find the actual x-ray. This information could be cross-referenced with medical history to see exactly why the x-ray was taken.
