The online travel service could also allow electronic reservations of a rental car once the traveller has reached his or her destination. The PC Pay device would be used to download information on Vehicle Insurance, Users License and special priveleges the traveller may have with the rental car company. The internet interface would allow the user to request a specific car and find its availability on the lot during the required time.
The possibilities of online car reservations are many and the PC Pay® device can offer the online user a secure system to conduct the online car reservations to pay for the car rentals. Furthermore, the user's "Travel Smart Card" can be used to record car rental loyalty awards.
A "Travel Smart Card" could potentially be used to get discounts at gas stations while traveling, or to record awards for fueling up at ones favorite gas station. Included in a "Travel Smart Card" may be insurance information and emergency contacts. Again, the possibilities are many when it comes to using a smart card and the PC Pay system makes using a smart card easy by bringing the smart card terminal to your home or office to reload the smart card or review the contents of the smart card.
